Me and my journey

My name is Calodagh McCumiskey

My life’s goal is to help people fulfil their potential

Astrology is one of the core tools I use in my day-to-day work, in addition to life coaching skills and proven meditative and wellbeing practices. I am committed to helping others unlock their full potential and enrich their everyday lives.

My journey with Astrology began in India in 2004, when I visited an astrologer who could tell me things about myself and my life that no one knew – based on the chart of the moment I walked into his office. I was immediately hooked. Overtime, it has helped me deepen my relationship with myself and the inner workings of my mind and soul.

My passion for astrology has only deepened and strengthened over the last 17 years. Having seen the benefits  in my own life, I am very glad to be able to help others solve their problems and develop their gifts today. I regularly visit India to deepen my knowledge of Vedic Astrology and study with Pandit Shashi Dubey. He is the founder of The Indian School Of Natural Spiritual Sciences as well as Founder Chairman of The Astrologers Trust of India.

My career previously spanned over four continents, where I specialised in crisis management. I worked in emergency aid relief in Africa and Asia for 14 years helping to combat the impact of natural and man-made disasters.

I oversaw aid operations at country level and was in charge of strategic planning, resource allocation, government and partner relationships, programmes, teams and budgets.

This work afforded me the privilege to see the strength of spirit that individuals and communities can summon to overcome adversity. There exists in all of us an indomitable will to survive. Our emotions, our thoughts, our lifestyle habits, all unique to each of us, are tied to the planets in the skies and our birth charts help unlock a deep understanding of why we act the way we do. The coping and management skills I learned, as well as the ability to think clearly and calmly under pressure, greatly inform much of my work today.

I am the Director of Research for Europe for the Astrologer’s Trust of India.

Photo taken with Baba, a Sanyasi and Sadhu (sage) in Mana village on the banks of the Holy Saraswati River.   Mana is the last Indian village near the border with China.  It is a highly spiritually and cosmically charged place. The holy texts of the Vedas and Upanishads were written nearby.  When you visit, you can experience self knowledge, a transcendental stage of mind and higher consciousness when you close your eyes. I have travelled these areas with my spiritual guide Pt Shashi Dubey and was honoured to meet Baba along the way.
